IULTCS Leather Rubbing Color Fastness Tester for Leather Testing

Summary :

IULTCS leather abrasion tester is designed for determining the colorfastness of leather, plastics and textile materials.The colorfastness is assessed by checking change in color of the specimen and stain of the felt after rubbing the specimen. Both dry and wet tests can be made by this machine. It’s mainly applied to test leather property in shoes (dyed upper, lined with leather), clothing, luggage handbag industry, research laboratories, commodity inspection, arbitration and technical supervision departments.

Test theory:

The machine includes a base plate with a sample to be tested fixed on it. The test head can move back and forth along the sample. The standard friction cloth is installed on the test head, and the movement of the test head is controlled by the crankshaft transmission of the handle. During the movement process, a certain load is applied to the test head. Usually, white bleached fabric is used for testing dyed leather, and non fading black cloth is used for testing white leather. In the test, one revolution per second is required, usually 10 revolutions to complete the entire test. Evaluate color transfer using grayscale levels.
